This is Jordan and Nate Baker. This sweet couple have been married a little over a year and together for ten years! Their love for one another is undeniable. They truly have chosen one another everyday for better or worse. Sadly they are battling a huge for worse moment.
Nate has been in and out of the hospital for the past few weeks and is currently at Parkland severely struggling with pancreatitis. Jordan has been with him and is afraid to leave his side as he can go from bad to worse quickly. He can barely breathe and is on oxygen. They are considering inserting a stint to help slowly drain the fluid from his swollen stomach. After this, the doctors say he will have to remain in the hospital for two to three more weeks. Nate asked his wife the other day, “Am I going to die?” Jordan encouragingly said no and that everything would be okay. However, the doctors have shared with Jordan that they currently don’t know. Please pray and send all the good thoughts and vibes to Jordan and Nate.
Not a lot of people know what they are enduring right now and just how serious this is. Jordan has not been public about this because she didn’t want to bother anyone and has been completely focused on Nate and what comes next. She has been so strong for Nate and has not asked for help. I learned that Nate does not have health insurance so I can only imagine the weight they feel as bills are piling up. Jordan sincerely said to me, “They saved his life so I don’t care if I pay $50 a month for the rest of our lives as long as he is ok.”
I am hoping that you will please help reduce this stress in their lives however you can help. Any donations will be going towards their medical bills. Please feel free to share and offer any encouraging words for Jordan and Nate! I know how much all of their family and friends love them and we hope Nate feels better soon!
