Hello everyone, my name is Dakotha Chandler and Teresa Hutchinson is my dearest friend in the world. As many of you know she was diagnosed with Stage IV Metastatic Melanoma on July 5th, 2024. With this diagnosis comes uncertainties and challenges, many of which we can’t control but we can help to alleviate the financial strain therefore we’ve chosen to begin her Go Fund Me.

Subsequently after her diagnosis Teresa was hospitalized for five days and upon discharge immediately began and has completed radiation. She is now receiving immunotherapy once every three weeks. In addition to her treatments to directly impact the cancer, she is also undergoing management for a fracture in her thoracic spine that was caused from the metastasis. These treatments, coupled with a second recent hospitalization, numerous scans, travel to and from appointments and medications have resulted in quite the financial burden despite insurance coverage. They have already begun denying coverage for the initial hospital stay and other treatments, and the appeal battles have been started.

Many of you have asked how to help Teresa fight this battle and there’s no gesture too small. From prayers, words of encouragement, donations, meals, quality time and positive thoughts it’s all appreciated more than any of you know.
