On Saturday, April 13th Ian Ordenes, a happy and healthy 12 year old boy was transported by life flight to Primary Children’s Hospital. Ian was suffering extreme leg pain, fever and laboring for every breath. Over the last week in the PICU Ian’s family has learned what a long Journey Ian has ahead of him. Ian currently is on a breathing tube and is sedated. Ian is suffering from an extreme Staph infection, blood clot that begins behind his knee and extends to his groin, bleeding in his Lungs from blood thinners, collapsed lung, Osteomyelitis in his tibia, continual fevers, intermittent drops in blood pressure, blood transfusions due to bleeding in his lungs, and daily procedures to clean out blockages in his lungs.
Ian is a fighter, but has a long road ahead of him. The skilled doctors and nurses assure the family that this isn’t a sprint, but rather a marathon.
Our hopes are to provide a small sense of peace and ease the financial burden for this loving family. Thank you for your consideration. Go Ian!!
