Hello everyone,

Taylor needs us right now.

In late June, Taylor was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer (adenocarcinoma, non-small cell), which is caused by an unlucky combination of two genetic mutations. What started in April as severe chest pain turned out to be a fracture in her rib, caused by the cancer spreading to her bones. The cancer has now also spread to her brain. 

While the cancer is treatable, it isn’t curable. Taylor’s treatment plan includes radiation and three types of chemotherapy (two IV treatments and one in pill form). In Taylor's words, "We go hard or go home."

Due to the aggressive nature of these treatments and the anticipated side effects, she’s currently unable to work, having to step away from her job as a social worker supporting those in crisis - a role she has loved deeply and poured so much of herself into. She's also started the process of freezing her eggs due to the treatment's likely impact on future fertility.

Taylor is one of the most caring, kind, and selfless people we know. She’s always there for others, and now it’s our turn to be there for her.

We’re asking for your support to help her cover:

• Fertility preservation costs

• Ongoing medical-related expenses (prescriptions, parking, transportation, etc.)

• Income loss while she’s unable to work

• Naturopathic and supportive treatments that aren’t covered by insurance
