Help Support Tammy Lynn "Vanderwilt" Smith Kick Cancers Butt

Hello, My name is Corey Osterloh and i am setting up this go fund me to help my mom and dad during this very tough time. As many of you may know her this is my mother Tammy Lynn "Vanderwilt" Smith. On Nov. 17th 2024 she went to the hospital for severe abdominal pain, and was turning jaundice. At the time they discovered a 9-10cm mass on her pancreas. While there she had a biliary drain tube installed and a biopsy of said tumor. Ever since that day, our lives have been turned up side down.

Finally after 3 biopsies on Dec. 30th 2024 my mom was diagnosed with Stage 4 Large B Cell Non Hodgkins lymphoma, Fast forward to Feb 4th 2024 she has had 9 operations on her biliary duct just so she didn't loose her liver and to keep the jaundice under control she has had a exteral drain bag on her biliary duct ever since. She ending up with a few smaller leasions and or masses on her liver. So on Feb 4th 2025 we made the 4 hour drive to the Mays Cancer center in San Antonio Texas they started her on a 6 rounds of chemo treatment. At that time they gave her a 70%-80% remission rate which is great news to us. On Feb 25th 2025 she got her 2nd round and got some great news her main pancreatic tumor had shrank almost 30% in size.

On March 6th, Mom with the company of her mother Jacque Vanderwilt rushed back to San Antonio because moms external drain was leaking. At that time they discovered she had a blood clot in her lung. While at the er they admistered a bolus of Heparin ( a way to thin and disolve the blood clot) the days to follow were a nightmare for my mother she had insane adominal pain again, when they took her for a pet scan they discovered that the blood thinning meds essentially imploded her 5cm mass on her pancreas and the tumor was bleeding so she was bleeding internally. They got the bleeding to stop and went in and put a stint in her biliary duct so they could finally remove the external drian bag.

She and my grandmother finally got to come home from the hospital on March 15th with some great and bad news. Great news being no more external drain bags, and the original mass is now 50% the size it started as. The bad news being they found a mass on her thyroid.

March 18th 2025 My self and my Wife Braylee Osterloh brought mom to the Mayes Cancer center in San Antonio for her 3 round. Today March 19th 2024 as I sit here watching my mom receive her 3rd round we are all so strong she is being so strong, she has lost over 65 lbs since the beginning, has lost most her hair but still smiling everyday.

I am making this gofundme for her and my dad... they need financial help with Chad Smith her husband at home helping her daily and her not being able to work the financial walls are closing in on them

. she is trying to get some long term dialabilty because she has a long road ahead, but that process could take a while. So all donations will go staright to Tammy and Chad Smith to help them to back and fourth to appoiments and some money to live of of and pay what bills they can...As of this moment the chemo is working for the pancreatic mass we won't know how much it shrunk untill the 4th round on April 11th 2025 she still has a 70%-80% remission rate. went won't know if she will have to get radiation or not untill after the 6th round. The cancer team she has is amazing and is not wanting to address the thyroid mass untill the mass on the pancreas is gone.

I will try and keep this updated as we go. I truly appreciate all and any help that anyone can give, it will mean the world to us. My main goal is to keep mom smiling everyday so she can kick this cancers butt... and keep her spirits up! You may know me, don't know me, like me,don't like me either way none of this has to do with my mother she truly is a person who would give anyone the shirt off her back.
