Hello my name is Melissa Vincent. I am a friend and colleague of Brenna Larkin and know her family well. Her family is very special to me and right now, they need our help and support more than ever.

Help Support Tallulah’s Fight for Her Life

Our sweet Tallulah has been a warrior since the moment she entered this world. Born with a rare genetic disorder, she has already endured more challenges in her young life than most face in a lifetime. From the day she arrived, Tallulah has been under the incredible care of the team at Penn State Hershey’s Children’s Hospital, spending 84 days in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and undergoing numerous surgeries and specialist visits to keep her fighting and thriving.

On Wednesday, October 29th, Tallulah underwent her second open-heart surgery to repair a leak in her aortic valve. What was expected to be a relatively straightforward procedure quickly became a life-threatening emergency.

The following morning, October 30th, while in her mother Brenna’s arms, Tallulah went into cardiac arrest. For 30 minutes, doctors and nurses fought to bring her back, performing CPR and an emergency bedside surgery to stop a leak in her heart. Brenna and her family waited in anguish for nearly an hour before receiving the news that Tallulah’s heart was beating again.

Though she stabilized overnight, an early morning echocardiogram on October 31st showed that her aortic valve was again severely leaking. Tallulah was rushed into the operating room for her third open-heart surgery in less than 72 hours. When repairing the valve was no longer possible, doctors performed a Ross procedure, replacing the damaged valve in a grueling six-hour operation. She continues to be closely monitored in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit as her medical team watches for complications and bleeding.

Update- From November 1st

Tallulah is currently recovering in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), facing an unknown length of recovery time in the hospital. She is receiving ECMO (life-support) assistance as well as dialysis to support her heart, lungs, and kidneys as her body heals. Tallulah is heavily sedated so that her body can rest and recover from the tremendous stress of multiple surgeries.

Through all of this, Brenna and her family have remained by Tallulah’s side — praying, hoping, and holding on to faith. As they navigate the emotional, physical, and financial toll of this unimaginable journey, they need our help more than ever.

Your donations will go directly toward medical expenses, travel, lodging, lost wages, and the ongoing care Tallulah requires during her long road to recovery. Every contribution — no matter the amount — helps lift this family up and reminds them that they are not alone.

Please keep Tallulah, Brenna, Millie and their entire family in your prayers, and share this page to spread their story of strength, love, and perseverance.

❤️ Thank you for helping us support Tallulah’s fight for life.
