The Troopers are a drum and bugle corps that compete in World Class DCI (Drum Corps International.) Every summer, 22 world-class groups of around 160 people from all across the world move in together. For a month straight, 14 hours a day, these members aged 15-22 are outside putting together and perfecting a 12-minute show. For the following month and a half, every corps will go on tour across the US performing for crowds and competing for scores and rankings. Around the second week of August, all the corps meet at Lucas Oil Stadium for finals.
This activity is extremely educational, and builds strength as well as character. However, a summer touring the country is expensive. Not including some spring camps & flights, the cost to participate this summer is $5,500. This tuition will cover my costs of living over a few months. This includes transportation, meals, housing, etc. Along with this fundraising opportunity, I’ll be working part time and receiving assistance from my family. Any donation, big or small, is appreciated more than words can say, and will help me live my dream.
