Sunny Sunshine is our sweet, brave rescue pittie — and her mommy’s emotional support animal who has been a grounding force through anxiety attacks and PTSD. At just 5 years old, Sunny was recently diagnosed with terminal lymphoma.
Despite this devastating diagnosis, Sunny’s spirit shines brighter than ever. She’s become a little social media celebrity, inspiring so many people who’ve lost their beloved pets to this cruel disease. We've been overwhelmed by love and support from those who want to help her live out her bucket list and make every moment count.
This fundraiser will support Sunny’s final adventures and help cover the care and comfort she needs in her remaining time with us. Our mission is simple: to give her the happiest, most love-filled days possible.
What Your Donations Will Help With:
- Ongoing visits to the vet and blood work to track cancer progression
- Ongoing steroid treatments and medications
- Holistic therapies (vitamins, acupuncture, etc.)
- A red light therapy lamp to stimulate cellular function and reduce inflammation and promote healing.
- High-quality butcher meat, vegetables, and fruits for her homemade diet (she can no longer eat commercial dog food)
- Biweekly doggie spa days to ease the stress on her body and spirit
- A day trip to her favorite local dog bakery with her best pup friend
- One last “farm day” visit with her foster mom
- A custom painted portrait to honor her memory
- A catered park picnic with some of her supporters
- A trip to Lake Michigan to walk on the beach and swim one more time
- Hikes at Clifty Falls (IN) and Hocking Hills (OH), her favorite pastime
- A plastic pool filled to the brim with her favorite Chuck-It balls and squeaky stuffies
- Opportunities to appear as a guest and spread awareness about canine cancer
- A tribute tattoo for mommy, so she’ll always carry Sunny with her
- And, when the time comes, to allow her to be laid to rest peacefully at home, surrounded by love
