As hard as this is to write, it is even harder to ask for help during these times. Anyone who knows Summer, knows her name was meant for her. She lights up every room she is in with her positive attitude, adventurous personality, and sassy wit. Life has recently thrown her and her husband Luke a curve ball when she was diagnosed with Ovarian cancer. Living in Kauai, the closest place to get medical treatment is on Oahu. The next Island over. This is obviously not only physically and mentally tough, but now financially devastating. The recent surgeries she has gone through have a recovery time of two months until she is able to go back to work. During this time Luke has been alongside her helping and supporting every step of the way, while also maintaining his full time job and taking days off as needed for doctors appointments and emergencies. As you can imagine this has been a difficult time for her and her loved ones. Being far from family and childhood friends in Oregon during this time, Summer could use any support she can get. Any donations towards her medical expenses, thoughts, shares, and prayers are highly appreciated.
