Help support striking sanitation workers

Hi my name is Sylvia, a wife of a sanitation worker on strike in San Diego. My husband and his co-workers are going on 4 weeks without a salary. This fundraiser will help out all 250 sanitation workers with any bills/groceries/rent. They are eager to go back to work, only with a fair contract.

Sanitation work is the 5th-deadliest job in America, and my husband and his co-workers have been working throughout the pandemic. They work for Republic Services, which is a $10 billion company that pays its shareholders like Bill Gates hundreds of millions in dividends every year.

These workers put their lives on the line every day to provide this public service, and it is their work that earns the company their billions in revenue and profit.

All we are asking is for the company to bargain fairly for a good contract. Many of our families are struggling after a month on strike and could use your help.

Please help us stand up to corporate greed.
