Help Support Steve’s Battle With Cancer

Hi, my name is Steve. I live in Asheville with my wife Jenna and our pup Loki. I am currently attending the University of North Carolina at Asheville. I am a 4.0 student in my senior year, studying Psychology.
I plan to attend Wake Forest to get my Master in Counseling. Eventually I want to work with our Veterans and First Responders suffering from PTSD. They deserve help and I intend to be one who helps and who never turns anyone away seeking help.
I grew up with my wife in the same neighborhood. We played together when we were young. In high school I had a crush on her and after our freshman year she moved away. Fast forward to 2013, Facebook told me I might want to friend her, so I did. We made passing comments on posts, eventually I sent a message via messenger and we began to chat. Soon we talked on the phone and in September of 2015, we met. We fell in love immediately and have been together since. We married in April of 2019 and I gained an awesome stepson Blaise, whom I love dearly.
I recently was diagnosed with penile cancer. I had surgery no man wants to have on August 1st. They removed the tumor among other things and I went home to recover.
The day after my surgery, a CT was done to see if all the cancer was gone. They saw a nodule in my lungs in that CT. They believed it to be benign but a CT done September 3rd shows 5 nodules and they are believed cancerous. A biopsy will confirm.
Through all of this, my wife has had to miss a lot of work to care for me. She is a small business owner, with her own massage therapy practice, I am a full time student, so our income is limited.
The medical bills are piling up and are only going to get worse. She will have to continue to provide care for me throughout this.
In the event something happens to me, I don’t want to leave my wife with insurmountable medical debt and the debts from living expenses.
This Is the first time I have done a gofundme. I am having to check my ego, because this is one time I have no control. So I turn to you, the person reading this. If you could help, I would be in your debt. It would help us tremendously and help my wife if I am gone.
Every little bit helps if you can spare it and will be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for taking the time to read our story, I hope it has many more chapters.
