On August 27th, 2025, my stepdad, Steven, suffered a severe fall that left him with two skull fractures and bleeding on the brain. He has been in the Neuro ICU at Wake Medical Center ever since. While we are grateful to see small improvements each day, his recovery will be a long and difficult journey.

Right now, it’s uncertain how long Steven will remain in the ICU, and doctors have mentioned the possibility of a rehabilitation stay after his hospitalization. As you can imagine, the medical bills and ongoing care expenses will add up quickly. On top of that, my mom has been working hard to keep things running at home while making daily trips back and forth to the hospital — which brings its own challenges and costs.

We are starting this GoFundMe to help ease the financial burden of medical bills, rehabilitation, travel, and living expenses during this difficult time. Any donation, no matter the amount, will make a huge difference for Steven and our family as we focus on his healing.
