Hello! My name is Jenn. I am the Mother of Taylor, Mother In-law of Jeremy and Grandma to the most sweetest, strongest baby boy i know, Stetson Coy!
We were pleased to learn about Taylor and Jeremy becoming a Mommy and Daddy after years of trying. Little did we know, God had some really big plans ahead! Over time, the development of Stetson had became apparent while in the whomb of Taylor. After seeing several specialist, weekly doctors visits (in and out of state) we learned that our little boy had a very rare disorder called "Caudal Regression." Caudal regression syndrome is a disorder that impacts the development of the lower (caudal) part of the spine. The condition can affect many parts of the lower body, including the lower back and limbs, the genitourinary tract , and the gastrointestinal tract . We believe (statistically) that Taylors struggles with being Diabetic, impacted this pregnancy greatly. After learning this, we were also hit with devestating news that Stetson also will be needing Open Heart Surgery due to a diagnosis of VSD. VSD is a ventricular septal defect. It's an opening in the wall (septum) that separates the two lower chambers of the heart, called the ventricles. The requirements of this "High Risk Pregnancy" became consuming. Further into the pregnancy, Taylor learned that her own health was jeopardized. Managing several autoimmune diseases, Diabetes, and Pre-Eclampsia. We learned that both Mom and Baby were at risk. Doctors orders had Taylor needing to preserve the health of her and baby, discontinuing her nursing job with Sandford Health. This has left Jeremy being the sole provider, working long hours on the Oil Field and minimum time at home with Mom. Soon Taylor and Jeremy learned that Early Delivery would be necessary for the safety of Mom and Baby. An emergency C-section was just days away. With time against them, the financial struggles set in. Taylor and Jeremy drove from Dickinson, to Minneapolis where a team of specialist greeted them. Stetson Coy was born by C-section and immediately placed in the care of "NICU." As Stetson continues to recieve specialty intensive care, Mom and Dad have been released to the Ronald McDonald Housing and will continue to stay with our sweet little fighter! We are asking for a generous donation from friends and family to help accommodate home bills, medical bills, food, travel, and loss of income. Anything will help this family during this trialing time. If a money donation can't be made, we ask for continued prayers. We appreciate all efforts.
