As many of you know, this Christmas will be two years since Chris and Stacey's daughter Natalie was tragically killed on her way to a fire call. The family has experienced the most debilitating grief. These past two years been so difficult for the Dempsey family. With the help of each other - Chris, Stacey, and their three sons, they have been pushing through day by day even though it is unimaginable what they have to face waking up every morning with their baby girl constantly on their mind.
This past Saturday, Chris passed away suddenly and unexpectedly and is now reunited and at peace with his baby girl. This shocking news has crushed Stacey and their three boys. It's hard to even comprehend why this has happened to this family. If you know this family - you know how truly amazing they are and they do not deserve this.
When Natalie passed, not only was the family experiencing horrific grief, but they also had to go through a huge struggle with finances. The family had kept all of this private - but although their daughter passed away in the Line of Duty as a firefighter, her funeral was not covered under any insurances. This unfortunately out of their control due to local administrative issues. Chris and Stacey were responsible for all of Natalie's funeral costs.
Chris and Stacey were that couple that everyone wanted to be around. Their marriage was like no other, they were each other's best friend and rock. I personally have witnessed how perfect they were for each other and have had Stacey vent to me on multiple occasions saying how she wouldn't get through the day without her hubby by her side. This is why I and many others are so passionate about helping Stacey and the boys with whatever way we can.
Chris and Stacey have maintained life insurance policies on themselves, should anything ever happen to either one of them. Due to exclusions in their policy and the circumstances surrounding Chris' passing, Chris' life insurance will not be paying out. Stacey is now fully responsible for all funeral costs out of pocket.
With all of this being said - Stacey needs our help tremendously right now - not only being there for her emotionally, but financially for the funeral costs and any other expenses that she can't handle right now.
