We are reaching out to our friends, family, and community to ask for your support for Sophie - a vibrant, kind, fun-loving 16-year-old who has always lived life to the fullest. Whether she was playing sports, spending time with friends and family, or making those around her smile, Sophie has always brought energy and joy to everyone she meets.
On Tuesday, July 7, 2026, Sophie's life changed in an instant when she was involved in a devastating car accident. Due to the severity of her injuries, she had to be airlifted to a trauma hospital, where she remains in critical care. She is currently sedated and on a ventilator as her medical team works tirelessly to stabilize her.
Sophie has suffered extensive injuries and faces multiple surgeries. Her pelvis was shattered into several pieces, she sustained a severe compound fracture to her leg, fractures in both arms, and traumatic injuries to her head and brain that have already required procedures and may require additional treatment as her recovery progresses.
There are still many unknowns ahead. Her recovery will be long and challenging, likely taking many months—and possibly years. She will require extensive rehabilitation to regain the ability to walk, perform everyday tasks, and reclaim as much independence as possible. As someone who has always loved being active and participating in sports, we simply don't know what her future will look like or whether she'll be able to return to the activities she loves.
Throughout this difficult time, Sophie's family has remained by her side at the hospital, far from home. Between travel, lodging, meals, lost income, and the overwhelming medical expenses that continue to grow, the financial burden is significant.
We are asking for your help so her family can focus on what matters most—healing. Anything you can do to help, whether that’s sharing this fundraiser, contributing any amount and/or keeping Sophie in your thoughts and prayers would mean the world to us.
Every donation, no matter the amount, will go toward her medical care, rehabilitation, and the many expenses that come with such a life-changing event. Your kindness and generosity mean so much to us, and we are deeply grateful for any support you can offer.
