Sweet friends and fam and maybe strangers (hello?). Know that I feel pretty hesitant about asking for handouts, especially considering the world that we currently live in — but I’ve been told it’s less about me and more about giving the opportunity to others to support me, and that I need to just “suck it up” (like rude, but okay I get it). I truly believe in mutual aid, so here goes.

I’m getting top surgery on February 4th, and surprise surprise, the American healthcare system is REAL stingy and not super into funding gender affirming care. I’m not going to wax on about my gender expression here, but I’ve been considering this surgery for quite some time now, and with the upcoming political oligarchy that looms on the horizon, I felt it was time to take the plunge.
