Help Support Sophia achieve her DREAMS
Donation protected
I am starting this in an effort to help Sophia achieve her dreams of becoming a WORLD CHAMPION in jiu-jitsu. Her and her family started jiu-jitsu less than 2 years ago recreationally, but Sophia loved it so much she wanted to be competitive, and she has done very well. She is focused and trains daily, in regular classes, private classes and is participating in the adult classes. She has been invited to join other teams, in other cities, and rolls with other clubs. Showing that others see her potential.
The downside to being really competitive is the costs. There may not be a lot of costs for uniforms and equipment, but it is expensive to pay for the competitions, accommodation, and travel. I am certain there are numerous children who could be very successful in following their dreams if they had the money to do so. Sophia’s parents have been amazing in supporting her dreams to date but now that she is doing move travelling, the costs are dictating when and where she can compete. Sophia’s younger brother Noah also competes, as does her dad, who often foregoes his entry to competitions to allow Sophia to enter more. The kids and some of their teammates have done bottle drives, and other fundraising ideas for their competitive team but as we all know food, lodging, and travel is expensive.
The reason I am starting this Go Fund Me page is because Sophia has been invited to be a part of a quintet group who will be competing in Toronto on September 6th, 2025, with some of the top ranked kids in North America. So the money will be for her family to go with airfare and sharing an Airbnb with her teammates and their families, it will be at least $3,000, and so we are hoping to help fund that. If she was able to raise more than that, it will go to her next competition in October 26th in Vancouver.
So I am asking on their behalf of their family to help support them in achieving her dreams. And when she becomes a WORLD CHAMPION, you can say “I helped her get there.”
