Sonny Passed away Saturday Morning
Description: For over 30 years, Sonny has been more than just an ice cream truck driver — he has been a cherished part of the North Shore Long Island community. From Glen Cove to Sea Cliff, Locust Valley to Oyster Bay, and along the beaches and concessions, Sonny brought smiles, laughter, and sweet treats to generations of families. Many of us grew up hearing the familiar music of his truck, running outside with excitement, and now we watch our own children — and even grandchildren — do the same. Sonny didn’t just serve ice cream; he built connections, spread kindness, and created lasting memories. He was always there with a warm smile, often going out of his way to make sure no child was left without a treat, even when families were struggling.
Today, Sonny and his wife Lynn need our help. Sonny recently suffered a stroke, and Lynn has endured a heart attack. As they face this incredibly difficult time, the medical expenses and recovery challenges are overwhelming. This is our chance to give back to someone who has given so much to all of us. Any donation, big or small, will help support Sonny and Lynn with medical bills, recovery costs, and daily living expenses during this time. If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this page to help spread the word. Let’s come together as a community — just like Sonny has always brought us together — and show him and Lynn the love and support they truly deserve. Sonny always said, “If you want to see a rainbow, you have to put up with a little rain.”
Irem Taluy is Sonny & Lynn’s daughter, all proceeds from the fundraiser will go directly to Sonny & Lynn for their mounting bills, Irem, Sonny, & Lynn are extremely appreciative for all your love & support ❤️❤️❤️
