Help Support Someone I Love Fight Against MS!

Hello, I am Gabrielle Hill, and I am starting this GoFundMe on behalf of my only sister, who was recently diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. Recently, she was hospitalized and received the surprising and devastating diagnosis of MS. She is now facing one of the greatest challenges of her life.

Her battle unknowingly began a few weeks ago when she experienced numbness in her legs and feet, which very quickly spread to her arms, hands, and face. Due to the rapid spreading of her symptoms, she knew it wasn't just in her head. Something was really wrong. She went to the ER where she was admitted, and after countless tests, bloodwork, and an MRI, she received the life-changing diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis. Doctors identified 20 lesions on her brain and found that the disease is currently very active and aggressive. This means that we must fight with even more aggression!

Please help first by understanding what MS is. MS is an autoimmune disease where the immune system attacks the protective covering of the nerves in the brain and spinal cord. This disrupts the communication between the brain and the body, leading to symptoms such as memory loss, muscle weakness, paralysis, vision problems, and in severe cases, seizures. Left untreated, the damage caused can become permanent.

Our goal now is to halt the disease's progression and reverse the damage already done. This means intensive treatments, medical appointments, and ongoing care. Unfortunately, these costs far exceed what our family can currently afford.
