Sophia Grace Brandt was born August 11, 2024 at 4:01pm to loving parents Sabrina and Dalton. What was supposed to be a simple delivery turned complex when Sophia aspirated meconium and needed to be intubated immediately. She was transferred to the NICU where she developed pulmonary hypertension, right heart strain, and low blood pressures. During her local NICU stay, she developed a tension pneumothorax and needed to have a chest tube placed. Due to her complex care needs, she was transferred to Children's Hospital of WI NICU. She is still currently on a ventilator with an unknown timeline of recovery.
