I am making this fundraiser on behalf of my neighbor (quoted above) who was detained unjustly by ICE. She is a single mother of three kids, and is currently sheltering in place in her home due to the danger of persecution by immigration enforcement in our city at this time. Earlier in January she was detained unrightfully, separating her from her children, which was extremely traumatic for both her and her family. She was thankfully released, but was forced to go into a large amount of debt in order to pay for the legal representation that allowed her to return home to her family. She continues to be unable to go to work for fear of being detained again, and is looking for financial support to help support her and her children, as well as relieve her from the legal debt she was forced into.
