Help support Shelly and Marc's journey to recovery

Our mom, Shelly Brown was admitted to the hospital on February 9th, due to a brain bleed. She had emergency surgery that night, which was successful. Overnight, the bleeding resumed, due to the blood thinners she had been taking since her heart attack on January 3rd. Early Saturday, February 10th we received a call that the bleeding started again. She had to be rushed back into surgery, where they found a second bleed. Since then, she has been in the Neurological Intensive Care Unit (ICU). She is still on a ventilator and feeding tube but making slow progress little by little each day. 

 

October 4th, our Dad Marc Brown was diagnosed with Stage IV lung cancer. The cancer has spread to his lymph nodes and brain. He is no longer able to work and will continue treatments for atleast the next 2 years. Mom had been working full-time to cover the household finances, caring for Dad, and taking care of all household duties.

 

Mom is strong as we all know and will continue to fight, however she will have a long road to recovery. She will most likely need to go to an Acute Rehab facility.  Anything we can do to remove their financial burden at this time is helpful.
