Hi, my name is Monique and my parents are Harold and Sharon Descoteaux. My brother Mike and I started this fundraiser to help with the costs of mobility items and renovations to our parents house to allow them to return home to live independently.

On October 15th, 2025, my parents were involved in serious motor vehicle collision in New Brunswick which resulted in their hospitalization with traumatic injuries. They were transferred from Moncton hospital to St. John Regional Hospital as it is one of the main trauma facilities on the East coast. They have been receiving excellent care but the road to recovery will be long and difficult.

Once all surgeries are finished, the next milestone will be their transfer back to a facility in Quebec, closer to home, to begin rehabilitation and continue healing.

The funds are anticipated to be spent on an accessible bathroom renovation, mobility devices (walkers, possibly a wheelchair), other property items and structural changes to the main level of their home to make it appropriately accessible.
