Hi everyone, my name is Harry, and earlier this year my friend Alex and I were lucky enough to travel to the Philippines. During our stay, we met an incredible person named Shannon who worked at the hostel we stayed at the longest in Port Barton.

Shannon is one of those rare people who is always smiling, always caring, and always looking out for others. He made our time in the Philippines unforgettable, and so did the many warm, friendly Filipino people we met along the way.

Unfortunately, the Philippines has been hit hard this week by Typhoon Tino, and another super typhoon is expected this weekend. Shannon, his community in Port Barton, and friends he knows in Cebu have all been severely affected. Homes have been damaged, livelihoods disrupted, and many people are in urgent need of support.

I’m not in the financial position to donate large amounts, even though I wish I could, but I’m giving what I can, and using platforms like this to be able spread awareness.
