Hi, my name is Vanessa and I am Shaiyana’s Godmother. I have started this GoFundMe on behalf of her and Brandon.

On Friday, October 3rd, our beautiful Shaiyana began experiencing unexpected seizures that turned our family’s world upside down. After several urgent tests, doctors discovered a golf ball–sized malignant tumour in her brain. She was rushed into emergency surgery, and while the procedure was successful, we are now anxiously awaiting the biopsy results to determine the next steps in her treatment plan.

This devastating news has left Shaiyana, her partner Brandon, and their two young boys facing a long and uncertain road ahead. Both parents will be away from work for the foreseeable future as they focus on healing, treatment, and caring for their family. The emotional and financial strain is already overwhelming, and they will need all the love and support their community can offer.

We are raising funds to help ease the burden of everyday expenses — housing payments, bills, groceries, and child care — so that this young family can focus on what truly matters: Shaiyana’s recovery and their children’s well-being.
