Hi everyone,
We’re reaching out on behalf of our beloved husband and father, Scott Weldon, who has been walking through one of the hardest chapters of his life.
In early 2023, our dad underwent a bone marrow transplant as part of his treatment for lymphoma. While we’re endlessly grateful the transplant was successful, the aftermath has brought an overwhelming set of complications — including severe Graft-versus-Host Disease (GVHD), which has affected his skin, eyes, lungs, and more.
After months of declining health and pain, our dad was hospitalized again in early September with major swelling, weakness, dangerously low oxygen levels, and ultimately, a seizure. He’s now been in the hospital for nearly two weeks. Doctors have been working hard to stabilize him, adjust his medications, and manage the serious side effects of long-term immunosuppressants. He’s undergone countless procedures — including a brain MRI, lumbar puncture, skin biopsy, EEG, blood transfusions, and more.
There have been a lot of scary days. But slowly, things are looking up. He’s regaining energy. His eyes are improving. His skin is responding to treatment. He’s now being stabilized with a new medication regimen and remains under close monitoring at the hospital. We are hopeful that he’ll be discharged in the coming days and can begin the next phase of healing at home.

Why We’re Asking for Help
This has taken a major toll on our family — emotionally, physically, and financially. Our dad has been unable to work for several months, and Paola has had to take time away from work to support him. The medical bills from this long hospital stay, combined with ongoing specialist care and medications, are incredibly steep.
We’re asking for support to help ease that burden so they can focus fully on healing, not finances. Every dollar — truly every single one — makes a difference, and if you can’t donate, simply sharing this page helps more than you know.
Thank you for being part of our dad’s village. We love him so much and just want him to be comfortable, safe, and on a path to real recovery. Your support brings us one step closer to that.
With gratitude,
Heather, Ally, & Paola
