Scott recently suffered a stroke and has been in the ICU for over a week. His condition is serious, and he has a long road to recovery ahead. My sister—his medical Power of Attorney—has not left his side. She's been staying near the hospital, unable to work, fully focused on supporting his care.

On top of this emotional and physical toll, she is also caring for their three children full-time. With school starting soon, she’s juggling registrations, physicals, dental appointments, and back-to-school shopping—all responsibilities Scott would normally help with, both logistically and financially.

Now, with unexpected expenses like hotel stays, hospital parking, meals, and school prep piling up, the financial pressure is immense.
