Hi, my name is Michelle, and I’m reaching out during one of the hardest moments of my life.
My beloved dog, Scooby, collapsed suddenly and was rushed to the emergency vet. After a terrifying wait, we received devastating news: Scooby has congestive heart failure. His condition is serious, and while it can be managed with medication and care, it isn’t curable. I’ve been told I may only have months to a year left with him.
Scooby isn’t just my dog—he’s my whole heart. He’s been my best friend, my emotional support, and my constant through so many ups and downs. When I feel like I’m falling apart, he brings me back. His goofy personality, big heart, and gentle soul light up my life in a way I can’t describe.
Scooby also meant the world to my mom, who has passed away. She adored him. He was her companion, her comfort, and her baby. Taking care of him now is one of the last pieces of her I have left. I promised her I would always take care of him—and I intend to keep that promise.
Scooby was hospitalized on oxygen and given medications to stabilize his heart working overtime as well as to clear fluid from his lungs. He will be on said medications the rest of his life. The bills are already adding up into the thousands, and he’ll need ongoing medications, vet visits, and careful monitoring to keep him comfortable and give him the best quality of life for whatever time we have left.
I work hard, but the sudden emergency costs are more than I can manage alone. If you’re able to donate—any amount at all—or even just share this page, it would mean the world to me and Scooby. Every bit helps us fight for more time together.
Thank you so much for reading, for your kindness, and for keeping Scooby in your heart. I just want to make sure he’s comfortable, safe, and surrounded by love every step of the way.
With love and deep gratitude,
Michelle & Scooby ❤️
