Help Support Sarah and Her Family During This Heartbreaking
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Krystle and I put this together for Sarah.
For the past 35 years, Sarah has been one of the most important people in my life. She’s the friend who would do anything for anyone, always putting others first, even when her own world is falling apart. Now, life has handed her and her family a devastating situation that none of us ever expected, and it’s time for us to show her the love and support she’s always given to others.
Sarah’s partner, Errol, has been battling an aggressive form of cancer that has turned their world upside down. What began as back pain in January turned into a nightmare when, after months of misdiagnosis, they discovered a tumor in April. Errol was diagnosed with Urothelial Cancer, and now the doctors are fearing it might be an even more aggressive form, neuroendocrine cancer. He’s only 48, with so much life ahead of him, and yet the cancer has progressed rapidly. Despite treatments, the family recently received the heart-wrenching news that the cancer has worsened, and they’ve made the difficult decision to stop treatment and focus on palliative care.
Errol is a loving father to four wonderful children: Sydney (29), Boston (16), Chloe (10), and Gabriel (6). Sarah and Errol have been partners for 13 years, and though they’ve been engaged for six of those years, they put all their savings into buying a home for their family. With rising interest rates, it became impossible for them to put extra finances aside for a wedding, but now they are hoping to finally say “I do” in the little time they have left together.
Watching Sarah, who has always been so strong, go through this has been heart-breaking. I’ve seen her give so much to her family, carrying the weight of the world on her shoulders while trying to be there for her kids, her partner, and everyone around her. It’s time for us to give back, and let her know she’s not alone in this.
I’m starting this GoFundMe to raise $60,000 to help ease the financial burden for Sarah and her family. In a time like this, no one should have to worry about how to keep the lights on or pay the mortgage. The breakdown of these funds will go towards:
Funeral costs for Errol, when the time comes
Mortgage payments to keep their home secure while Sarah is unable to work
Groceries and essentials for the kids as they navigate this incredibly difficult time
And hopefully, if there is any extra, a little something for the kids’ future—a way for them to remember their father and carry his love with them into their future endeavors.
Sarah would never ask for this kind of help, but I know she needs it now more than ever. If you can give, no matter how small, it will make a world of difference. And if you can’t donate, even sharing this and sending words of love and support will mean the world to her and her family.
Sarah is strong, but no one should have to go through this alone. Let’s rally together and show her that she has a village behind her, ready to support her in every way we can. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for anything you can do to help my dear friend during this incredibly painful time.
