Help Support Santiago on His Road to Recovery

On April 12, 2026, our dear friend Santiago was involved in a devastating motorcycle accident while riding through Mestaa’ėhehe Pass in Colorado. During a curve, he lost control of his motorcycle and was thrown into the guardrail, suffering a severe spinal cord injury.

As a result of the impact, Santiago is currently paralyzed from the stomach down. He underwent emergency spinal cord surgery, and his life was changed in an instant.

Doctors have shared that there is a small but real chance Santiago may regain the ability to walk with extensive physical therapy, rehabilitation, and time. This road ahead will be long, physically demanding, and emotionally exhausting, but it is not without hope.

Those who know Santiago know he is more than just a barber. He has built genuine friendships with his clients, always shows kindness, helps others whenever he can, brings laughter and positivity wherever he goes, and has a truly generous heart.

Santiago’s barber chair has always been a place where people felt welcome, heard, and supported. Now, he needs that same support from all of us.

With this injury comes overwhelming medical expenses, rehabilitation costs, ongoing treatment, and time away from work while Santiago focuses on healing. This GoFundMe is being created to help relieve some of that financial stress so Santiago can focus on what matters most: recovery and rehabilitation.

Funds raised will help cover medical bills and hospital expenses, physical therapy and long term rehabilitation, mobility equipment and recovery needs, and daily living expenses while he is unable to work.

Ayudemos a Santiago en su camino hacia la recuperación

El 12 de abril de 2026, nuestro querido amigo Santiago sufrió un grave accidente de motocicleta mientras transitaba por Mestaa’ėhehe Pass en Colorado. Al tomar una curva, perdió el control de la motocicleta y se impactó contra el barandal de seguridad, lo que le provocó una lesión severa en la médula espinal.

Debido a este fuerte impacto, Santiago quedó paralizado de la cintura hacia abajo. Fue sometido a una cirugía de emergencia en la médula espinal, y desde ese momento su vida cambió por completo.

Los médicos nos han informado que existe una pequeña pero real posibilidad de que Santiago pueda volver a caminar con terapia física intensiva, rehabilitación constante y mucho tiempo. El proceso será largo, físicamente muy exigente y emocionalmente duro, pero aún hay esperanza.
