Hi everyone, my name is Kaitlyn after days of consideration, I'm reaching out to share my mom Sandie's story. In 2021, at the age of 47, she began experiencing symptoms of a stroke. Doctors confirmed she had 9 TIA's (mini strokes), which now has increased to 11, possibly 13 following her latest MRI scan. Unfortunately, on February 24th, my mom (now 50 years old) suffered a serious basal ganglia hemorrhagic stroke and had to be airlifted to a hospital up north.
Since 2021, she has undergone numerous tests, including blood work, CT/MRI scans, spinal taps, angiograms, even a brain biopsy, but doctors still don’t know why this is happening to her. She is currently in a rehabilitation hospital and is expected to be there for about three weeks. After spending a week in ICU/neuro unit.
As we navigate this tough time, I'm asking for your support to help her on her road to recovery. She won't be able to work for an extended period of time and the funds raised will go directly towards her bills, medical expenses, adjustments to her house, and essential equipment/needs during this period. Any contribution, no matter the size, will make a difference and help ease our worries as she focuses on healing.
Thank you for considering helping us during this challenging time. If you are not able to donate, simply sharing will bring us joy. Your generosity, kindness, and prayers mean so much to us, really ❤️❤️
