Only 5 short months ago, Steve was admitted to hospital with stomach pains. What followed was the incredibly frightening diagnosis of stage 4 cancer. Never did anyone think we would be here so quickly today.

Steve has been fighting stage 4 cancer with everything he has. He has endured so much, and so has his family. Now, after every possible effort, he will be coming home under palliative care, surrounded by the people he loves most: his wife Sam and their three beautiful boys, Covey, Reeve and Ollie.

Covey is only 3, Reeve is 10 and Ollie is 12.

No family should ever have to face this. And no father should have to spend his final days worrying about whether his wife and children will be okay.

Steve has been the main income earner for their family. Sam is now facing the unimaginable: losing her husband, raising three young boys, keeping their home, covering day-to-day living costs, and trying to protect the boys’ future through all of this grief.

Steve has worked so hard to give his family stability, love and opportunity. Now we want to do everything we can to help carry that dream forward for him.

Funds raised will go directly to Sam and will help with:

• Keeping and maintaining the family home

• School fees and education costs for the boys

• Everyday household and living expenses

• Counselling, grief support and practical care for the family

• Giving Sam breathing room as she navigates life without Steve

We are launching this now because we want Steve to see, while he is still here, the love and care that surrounds his family. We want him to feel the comfort of knowing that Sam and the boys will not be left to carry this alone.
