Help Support Sahara Through the Loss of Her Mum

Hello to the dear folks in my mother and I’s communities and extended networks,

Over the past 2 months my mum Joanne faced a sudden diagnoses of an agressive terminal cancer. She passed away peacefully staring into my eyes on August 4th 2023.

I have been unable to work for the past 2 months due to travelling back to toronto from Montreal to help as a primary caregiver for my mum. As well, as her only child I am responsible for her managing her estate which will take several months to organize and sort through after her passing which will further prevent me from working.

As she is a single mother and I am her only child, we share a deep bond that is unlike one I have ever had, or will ever have again. We are both low income individuals who cannot support the financial burden of these circumstances without support. I am therefore asking for financial support to honour our love for each other by making this loss as relatively stress free as possible.

- Transportation between Montreal and Toronto

- Transportation costs for spreading of ashes

- Grief counselling, psychiatry and therapy
