Help Support Sage’s Journey to Recovery
Donation protected
On April 9th, what was planned to be a night of reminiscing after her fathers passing and celebrating an upcoming birthday of her own, turned into a near fatal accident involving a fall that resulted in her injuring her neck. She was rushed to University of Maryland Shock trauma where they discovered she had neck fractures with injury to the C4 and C6 vertebra, also bruising on T6 spinal cord area and lacerations on my head. Sage underwent an 8 hour surgery to repair her C4-C6 vertebrae that involved her neck being grafted and fused. She spent a week in shock trauma recovering.
Sage is limited in what she is able to do and she has to wear a neck collar at all times for minimum of six weeks. She will need weeks of physical therapy and follow ups with her neurosurgeon. Since her waitressing job is physically demanding and requires her to be on her feet, she will be not be able to go back to work until the surgeon clears her. She will need help with monthly expenses re: rent, BGE, food, etc in addition to her medical bills
To know Sage, is to know that she is such a thoughtful person and will light up any room she goes in. She is a genuine person who thinks of so many before she thinks of herself. It is heartbreaking to know that this has happened to her and has impacted her life in this way.
We would be so thankful for your financial contribution, as well as, all the love, light, and healing energy that you can send her way.
Thank you so much!
