Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,

I am reaching out to you today with a heavy heart and a desperate plea for help. My dear friend Rommar Sabocojan Princillo was involved in a tragic car accident on Saturday, November 15th, at around 7:30 PM on Copper Road. His car fell off a cliff, and he was urgently medevac'd to Alberta for life-saving surgery.

Rommar Sabocojan Princillo is currently still under observation after undergoing a 5-hour surgery and is fighting for his life. Unfortunately, due to his temporary work permit status, he did not have a Yukon provincial health card and cannot access provincial health coverage for his medical bills. We are deeply concerned about the financial burden his treatment and medivac expenses will cause.

To make matters even more difficult, Rommar Sabocojan Princillo has a 2-year-old daughter back in the Philippines who is waiting for her father’s recovery. His work permit is set to expire on December 5th, and we do not know whether he will be able to renew it, especially with his current medical condition. If he is unable to stay in Canada, he may be forced to return to the Philippines without completing his recovery.

We are hoping to raise enough funds to cover:

Medical expenses, including the medivac flight and surgery

Hospital and treatment costs while he remains under observation

Assistance for his family, including any help needed if he is unable to work or stay in Canada

Any financial contribution, no matter how small, would be a huge help during this incredibly challenging time. Your support will ensure that Rommar S. Princillo can focus on healing without the overwhelming worry of how to cover his medical bills. It will also help support his family back home as they wait for news of his recovery.
