Hi my name is Lynn Fontaine and I have had the absolute joy of knowing Christine and Roger for the last 15 years.

They have always been the kindest, most genuine people, always ready to help others. Rog has worked helping others with their emotions and lives through counseling and Christine has taught First grade and Kindergarten in our community for 15 years helping hundreds of children to learn.

Recently, Rog was diagnosed with T-cell prolymphocytic leukemia (T-PLL), a rare and aggressive form of blood cancer. The only potential cure is a bone marrow transplant. This diagnosis has turned their world upside down, and they are now facing a long and difficult road of treatments, hospital visits and recovery. The future is uncertain for Rog.

Rog is not only fighting for his own health, but he also cares for his mother, who lives with them and relies on him for daily support. The demands of his diagnosis and soon his treatments have forced Rog and Christine to make significant changes to their lives, including time away from work and constant travel for medical appointments. The costs of medical bills, travel, gas, food, and arranging rides for Rog’s mom will quickly add up, creating a heavy financial burden at a time when their focus should be on healing and family.

Throughout all of this, Christine and Rog remain the same caring, and loving people they have always been. Rog is the friend who quietly lends a hand, offers a smile, or shares a kind word when it’s needed most. Now, it’s our turn to support them. As we begin this journey, our lives have changed in ways we couldn’t have imagined. Rog has always been a hardworking, loyal, and kindhearted man — someone who shows up for others without hesitation, whether it’s helping a neighbor, sharing a laugh with a friend, or being the steady strength in our family.

Now, he’s the one who needs help. Because of his illness, Rog isn’t able to work much, and our household expenses are piling up quickly. Between medical bills, prescriptions, and everyday costs like rent, groceries, and utilities, it’s becoming difficult to keep up.

We’re asking for help — not just for medical care, but for the stability that allows us to focus on what truly matters: Rog’s treatment and healing.
