Help Support Robyn’s Battle with Heart Failure

I am starting this go fund me for my second mama. We recently found out Robyn Davis has heart failure. Cailyn Risinger (her daughter) was born a year after me and we have been best friends/sisters ever since. Robyn has been a mom to me since I was born and still is to this day.

About a month ago Robyn was diagnosed with stage 4 congestive heart failure and has been in the ICU for a month. We have spoken with palliative care and discussed options with hospice.

This all started as signs of asthma. Robyn has had high blood pressure which turned into acute hypertension. Her heart then was enlarged and working too hard to pump oxygen. They found a hole between two chambers of her heart which led to further fluid accumulation along with pulmonary hypertension and edema. Her oxygen levels dropped drastically making her unable to breathe on her own and has kept her in the ICU. She began at Holy Family which resulted in an emergency ambulance ride to Sacred Heart to be at the Heart Institute. As of right now they are working on stabilizing her levels but she’s not ready to leave the ICU.

We had a meeting with palliative care to discuss next steps once Robyn is out of the ICU. Basically she is at the point that she can choose hospice care and focus primarily on comfort and withdraw from all medications. Instead she and her family are wanting to continue fighting. With strict medication regimens and home nursing she can hopefully live semi independently.

Cailyn and her husband Rhett are planning on having her live with them once her levels stabilize to a point where she can be away from the hospital.

I am setting up this go fund me for a few reasons.

First because of the medical and life expenses.

The next reason is to support not only Robyn but her family as well. Cailyn and Rhett will need support while transforming their house to be conducive for Robyn’s needs and further accommodations they will have to do. Recently they found mold and water damage in their guest bedroom where they had initially planned on hosting Robyn.

As a daughter who recently lost a parent, I know how hard this time is on the family and how expenses are the last thing you want to stress about.

Robyn has been incredibly hopeful and positive during this time. She has taken comfort in God having a plan for her and holding her close while going through the scary times. We are welcoming all the prayers ya got!
