Since River was born, she's had lots of medical issues and is currently hospitalized for multiple different things. Unfortunately, her little body cannot thrive off of her feeding tube for the foreseeable future, which will most likely result in a G-tube surgery. This is a semi-permanent feeding tube that will require a little over another week in the hospital for the surgery and recovery, on top of the amount of time she is having to stay in the hospital for further testing and care.

During her hospital stay, River's dad is unable to receive pay unless making the commute back and forth from LA to Bakersfield. Due to River's mom's medical conditions as well, it is very crucial for River's dad to be with his family.
