Hi everyone,

As some of you may know, my wife Riss is living with a severe chronic illness that has deeply impacted every aspect of our lives—mentally, physically, emotionally, and financially.

At just 16 years old, Riss was diagnosed with an autoimmune connective tissue disorder. Over the years, her condition has progressively worsened. It now involves multiple organs, including her kidneys, and she has been diagnosed with chronic kidney disease.

Managing her complex health needs requires ongoing care from a large medical team, including nine specialists, three allied health professionals, and her GP. Most of these services are only available through the private health system, and unfortunately, the costs are far beyond what we can manage alone.

In the past year, Riss was admitted to hospital six times for a range of serious complications. This year, she's already on her second admission—currently in her fifth week in hospital.

These constant health setbacks have forced Riss to take extended time off work, further adding to our financial strain. We’ve reached a point where we need help. I struggled with completing this as I do not like asking for help, but we have hit a point of our life where the medical bills are increasing each time without additional incoming.

* Helping us manage living expenses while Riss is unable to work
