Kidney Transplant for Chris and Support for Riley

Dear Family and Friends,
As many of you know, Chris was diagnosed with IgA Nephropathy approximately 16 years ago and now at age 44 is in urgent need of a kidney transplant. In 2018, Chris' kidney function started to decline rapidly and the decision was made to be listed on the kidney transplant list. This list has a 3-5 year waiting period on average but we received an amazing gift when Chris' nephew Riley volunteered to be tested and was found to be a match!
Riley is a loving father of 1 1/2 year old Lorelei and will be getting married later this year to Niki. They are a wonderful young family who are offering a truly self-less gift that will allow Chris to get back to a healthy lifestyle with his wife Nicole and kids Zach & Emily. Please help us raise some funds to ensure there is no financial hardship on this young family who is making this life-saving sacrifice!
This campaign and your support will help us raise funds for lost wages, anti-rejection drugs, co-insurance/deductibles and related recovery expenses, for both Riley's family and Chris' family as this will be a 5-8 week recovery period for both Riley and Chris. Please help in any amount you can to ease the stress and financial burden that our families are about to take on as this campaign will help cover some of these expenses for both of us.

Chris' transplant surgery will take place on May 28, 2019. ***UPDATE (5/15)*** I’m feeling really disappointed tonight.....my surgery has been out on hold due to an infection I came down with and some additional challenges the U of MN brought up today. I also found out today that my kidney function is now down to 9% so dialysis will likely be in my future very soon. A new date for surgery is TBD.
