Hi, my name is Coryl, and I’m fundraising on behalf of my dad, Rick and mom, Penny.

For the past couple months, Rick has been in the ICU battling a serious and complicated health crisis. He is currently ventilated due to severe pulmonary issues, and his kidneys have stopped functioning properly, requiring regular dialysis. While his condition is now considered stable, he remains unresponsive and is suffering from severe delirium.

It all began on May 31st, when Rick was rushed to the hospital. His body had become severely overloaded with fluid, and his kidneys could no longer keep up. As the fluid built up, his CO2 levels rose to life-threatening levels.

Then, in the early hours of June 9th — around 2AM — the unthinkable happened: Rick’s heart stopped. He coded and had to be resuscitated.

In that moment, everything changed.

Our lives were turned upside down, and we’ve been holding our breath ever since — clinging to hope, praying for progress, and doing everything we can to support him through this fight.

The journey ahead is uncertain and will require continued intensive medical care, long-term support, and possibly specialized treatment in Houston. If transferred, this will bring additional costs for travel, hotel stays, and living expenses for my mom, Penny, who has been by his side every step of the way; even taking off of work for over a month to be there with him.

The emotional toll has been heavy, and unfortunately, so has the financial one. Between hospital bills, dialysis, medications, and potential rehabilitation and travel expenses, the costs are becoming overwhelming.

We are asking for help — any amount you can give will go directly toward Rick’s current and future care, as well as helping Penny stay close to him during this critical time. Every dollar is greatly appreciated as well as every share and especially every prayer.
