In November 2023, our dad, Rick Harrington, was diagnosed with tongue & throat cancer. In May 2024, he bravely underwent an extensive surgery to remove the cancer and reconstruct his tongue. We thought things were finally turning a corner, but at the beginning of 2025, Rick was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer, and the cancer in his throat and tongue came back full force.

If you know Rick, you know he is the hardest working man you’ll ever meet. He is the type who would give you his last $20, or the shirt off his back without hesitation. Even through this painful journey, he has never once complained. His greatest concern has always been for his family, especially how my mom will cope.

Rick has already taken steps to ease some of the burden, even paying ahead for his own cremation. Now, we are hoping to come together to support my mom. Donations will go directly toward helping her with rent and expenses, as well as Rick’s celebration of life.
