Dear EXP Realty Family & Friends,

This past June one of our own, Richard Pena, was hospitalized with extremely low oxygen levels and a severe case of Covid Pneumonia. Richard has been fighting this horrible virus for over 50 days and he still has a long battle ahead of him. The doctors are not sure when he will be able to leave the hospital since he is currently still on the ECMO machine. Once he is released from the hospital he will then go to LTAC and then a rehab center before returning home.

Richard is a full time Realtor with EXP and is a member of The Escalante Realty Group based out of Midlothian, Texas.

Prior to pursuing his dream of becoming a Realtor, Richard spent the past 20 years supporting his community. Richard is a Marine veteran. He worked at the water dept, then became a police officer where he also headed up the SRO program at the schools. After a hard decision of retiring from the Midlothian Police dept. in Sept. 2019 where he served for 17 years, his passion for supporting the children of Midlothian never ceased. Richard decided to run for the Midlothian School Board and won in 2020. Not only is Richard supporting the children of Midlothian and helping families realize their dream of owning a home of their own, but he is also husband to Jeniffer, a dad to his 3 children and step father to Jeniffers two children. This is a man who has given of himself his entire life and is now in need of our support. His wife Jeniffer is a hair stylist and is now the only provider of income for their large family. She needs our help!!! Not only is she facing mounting medical cost, but she is still responsible for all the children and the household expenses with only 1 income now that Richard is in the hospital and will not be able to work for months .
