I writing on behalf on my family in Asheville, NC where they are experiencing the devastating effects of Hurricane Helene.

Their houses have been flooded and destroyed, belongings lost, and are currently without power, safe drinking water, and cell reception.

The area received one foot of rain along with hurricane force winds making roads impassable and communication impossible. This is the most significant natural disaster the area has ever seen.

My mom Jody Read, and siblings Lake Read, West Read-Armijo, and Kage Read-Armijo (along with their significant others) are all without power, clean water, and cell reception.

Due to the damage done to their homes and belongings, and loss of work for the near future we ask for assistance to help them buy food and gas, and pay their bills while they try to rebuild and recover.
