Help Support Rainbow's Recovery Journey
Donation protected
My name is York Hutton. I am writing this on behalf of Rainbow (David Krieger once upon a time). I am an old friend of Rainbow's.
Rainbow Needs Our Help: A few weeks ago, while celebrating life (as Rainbow does) at the Oregon Country Fair grounds, he suffered a stroke.
Thanks to quick action by the White Birds and fair staff and volunteers, he received immediate care and was hospitalized for approximately one week. He’s already making an incredible recovery—he’s walking and talking, and displaying his wry sense of humor, spirit, and determination. But the road ahead is long.
Rainbow has given so much to our community—his care, wisdom, laughter, and presence have touched so many of us. Now it’s our turn to show up for him.
He’s currently recovering with the generous support of our friend Meadow, who is providing housing and round-the-clock care. They are working together to plan his next steps, including returning to his beloved bus when he’s ready.
There are mounting medical expenses from two emergency hospital transports, multiple days in the hospital, and critical evaluations. In the weeks and months ahead, thing Rainbow will need that we can help with:
• Ongoing physical and speech therapy
• Continued 24/7 support
• Safe housing, food, and transportation
• Help with navigating appointments and rebuilding routines
Every dollar makes a difference. Your contribution will directly support Rainbow’s recovery and help him return to the vibrant life he loves—and that we love seeing him in.
Please donate if you can, and share this with others who know and care about Rainbow. And thank you for being part of the community that supports him.
