Robert and I met on a warm summer night in 2017 in downtown Lansing, MI. It was the first time either of us had ever experienced love at first sight. We were married in 2019 in my grandmother's backyard, surrounded by our friends and family. Robert and I have spent the last 4 years building our future together, one step at a time. Robert was furthering his education and attending MSU for his doctorate in Nurse Practioner of Mental Health. Growing up, Robert was never allowed to have pets but it had always been a dream of his. We got our first dog together in the summer of 2021 and got her a brother this past September. We just purchased our dream home in July of 2022.

As many of you know, our life dramatically changed just before Christmas. Our family has been going through a very difficult time and faces a long road ahead. We are taking everything one day at a time. Support from our friends and family has become even more valuable to us. I truly appreciate the texts, calls, and letters of support. It means the world to me.

In our family, Bobby has always taken the lead on managing our financial responsibilities and caring for our home. We've gone from a dual-income family down to one income. As you can imagine, it has been a whirlwind and it will be a difficult road ahead covering our mortgage, monthly bills, veterinary expenses and day-to-day living expenses on just my income.
