Help Support Queer BIPOC Film Thesis!

My name is AJ, I use they/them pronouns, and I am a rising senior at Mount Holyoke. I'm a BIPOC queer filmmaker working on a short film that is especially personal to me. The film is a somewhat autobiographical take on what it means to be biracial and queer at the same time. I've never seen a film centering a character who shares these two identities - so I want to be the first person (that I know of!) to make one! Representation and inclusion are so important, and I believe my film has the power to bring joy and validation to many people like me.
My cast and crew are going to be entirely BIPOC and/or queer. As such, it's really important to me to compensate them for their time. Your funding will help me ensure that the beautiful people helping me bring my film to life don't have to do it for free. I want to be able to pay them all at least $100-200, as well as to buy them food on our long filming days.
Thank you so much for helping me proudly showcase my identity in this film! I hope to use this film as the starting point of my film career, and your support will mean a lot to me.
