Prestwich Clough Day 2025 needs your support!

2025 will be the 20th anniversary of Prestwich Clough Day!

The Prestwich Clough Day committee is in full planning mode to ensure that our annual free family fun day will be the best yet.

Unfortunately, the accounts from last year’s event have shown us that it cost £16, 244.23 to put on the event (from entertainers to vital health and safety), and we made a loss of £5, 747.22.

Without the support of our local community our 20th Anniversary year may be our last year.

We hope that you agree with us that it is a brilliant event and contributes to what makes Prestwich ‘special’. We love that over 100 local groups and charities, local businesses and entertainers get involved each year. We’re always pleased that the additional footfall in the area helps give many local community groups and businesses an extra boost too, even if they don’t have stalls at the event.

We love being a truly local event!

Sadly, we do not have the savings to make up another loss. We have already made the hard decision to not continue with the Clough Day does Folk night as a way of cutting costs. We will be looking to make further cuts where possible. We apply for grants throughout the year, and of course have our bright orange buckets at the entrances. Last year, we invested in the PDQ machines so we could take card donations.

We are asking our local community to support us if they can!

We appreciate that times are challenging for all with the cost of living. Any support that you can give us, however small, would be very gratefully received.
