Help Support Presley’s Vision Recovery

I’m starting this on behalf of my cousin, his wife, and their 5-year-old daughter, Jesse J, Whitley, and Presley Salmons.

Presley is a sweet and sassy little girl who was so excited to start kindergarten this year, but has had some challenges that most 5 year olds don’t. Presley has cataracts and within the course of a month she went completely blind in her left eye and her right eye was not far behind at 20/200. She needed surgery, and she needed it fast. Unfortunately, they have to go 4 hours away to Morgantown for these appointments. They did the first surgery last week on her left eye, and she goes back in for surgery tomorrow on her right. They will have to keep coming back weekly for checks to evaluate what additional surgeries are needed and how to try to correct her vision. This means every week they are having to take off work and make the trip to Morgantown. All the expenses that come with it all add up very fast, and with both of them having to seriously cut their hours at work, it makes it almost impossible.

They have enough on their plate right now, so let’s help relieve some of the financial burden that they’re carrying. When I say that these are a couple of the finest people I know, I’m not just saying that because they’re family. They are the first to drop anything and everything to go help anyone in need, regardless of whether or not they have the time or the means to do so, and they never ask for anything in return. Now, however, it’s time for us to step up and help them out for once. If you can’t help financially, we understand, but I know they would be grateful if you would share it so more people can see it and say a prayer for sweet Presley. Also, please keep JJ, Whitley, and their son Brantley in your prayers as well. As a parent, seeing your child suffer is one of the hardest things to experience.
