APD family & friends,
One of our own, Eric Bargas needs support. For awhile now, he has taken on the sole responsibility of his mother who suffers from dementia. I know that many of you are friends with and or have worked with Eric at a variety of substations as he assist us with PCO (property control office) equipment. If you have not met him but were around for the MFF (mobile field force) and riots, he was here EVERYDAY and worked LONG HOURS to make sure we had everything we needed and cleaned up after officers. Eric was a vital part of why things went smoothly in house for officers during a difficult time. If anyone wanted to be home with their family, I am sure he did and I know it took a toll on him.
I want everyone to know that throughout his mothers sickness, he has been dedicated to his job everyday when he wanted to be there for his mother. Unfortunately, his mother took a turn for the worse and passed this week. Eric has been there for us, let us be there for him. I set this gofundme account up to assist in the medical expenses he has had and to help with the financial burden of the funeral.
If you are unable to contribute financially, I ask that you reach out to Eric and extend your condolences or even just be a listening ear in a time of need.
